In the context of war, economic challenges, and transformation of Ukraine’s agri-food sector, women entrepreneurs need special support to develop their business ideas. EIT Food, in partnership with the Radar Tech team, launched a mentoring support programme for women in the agri-food sector to help them transform innovative ideas into successful startups and businesses.
The Empowering Women in Agrifood programme lasted 6 months and included a comprehensive approach to developing women’s entrepreneurial skills. Throughout the programme, participants worked individually with mentors to develop their own business ideas.
Practical workshops became an essential part of the programme, covering the entire spectrum of necessary skills: from business model development to successful project presentation. To expand practical experience, educational visits were organised to leading innovative companies, including UNIT.City and MHP Culinary Centre, where participants had the opportunity to see successful business models in action.
The programme created a powerful networking platform: regular meetings with successful entrepreneurs, industry experts, and potential investors helped participants expand their professional connections and receive valuable feedback on their projects. The programme culminated in Demo Day, where participants presented their finalised business solutions to the jury and business community representatives.
